Intro Blog

 Hi, it's me, Maiyah. This is my first blog so let me introduce myself. My name is Maiyah Dukes, I am 15 years old, and I attend Fort Lauderdale High School. I took 2 AICE classes last year. I now take 4 other AICE classes. The reason I chose to take AICE Media Studies is because at times in my life I find it hard to communicate using only words. I believe this class will help me to better communicate with not only words but also through forms of media. A few random but yet interesting facts about me are that I love to help, I was a junior thespian for 3 years, and I currently have braces. I've also stayed in the same house my whole life. I believe that is the reason I am afraid of change which is another fact. I live with my mother. I have two siblings, an older sister and a younger brother. If you were wondering, yes, middle child syndrome is real because I am a 100% sure I have it. To all the middle children out there, stay strong 😂💪! The end of my introduction is approaching and I would just like to acknowledge the fact that I am very grateful to be given a chance to be in the Cambridge program. I feel as if it will help me achieve my goals and teach me many things. Although it can be hard at times, I enjoy the program. Production Blog: Beginning of editing

 Hi, it’s me, Maiyah. Well, we’ve finished filming and now we’re unto editing. The group decided to edit using Imovie. I have used it before and other members of the group have used it too.  I haven’t edited a part yet but i have giving my input on how it should be edited. One of my suggestions was to add non-diegetic music to a certain part of the film instead of using diegetic sound. I’ve suggested other things. The whole group had. I can’t quite remembers who’s doing the bulk of the editing but i believe it’s Ryeyauni. Although she’s doing most of it, we all will contribute. Roy will contribute by offering advice on which music we should use and by offering some music of his own. Aniya will contribute by offering suggestions and helping with the editing. I will contribute by doing the same thing. I will see to it that I edit one specific part because I have envisioned how i want it so i believe it’ll be best if i edit it myself. This was my first film project ever. Due to it being my first I was very excited. I ran into many problems that I never would have thought occurred. For example, uploading this video. As I type this I have no idea on how to upload it because everything I am trying is not working. Hopefully when you are reading this, it will be visible😂. On a serious note, I feel as if this project has taught me a lot when it comes to being both the director and the cast. It has also taught me a lot about editing and filming. Before I started this project I had little to no knowledge on filming my own commercial. Moving forward, I feel that the next filming project I do will be even better. Although this project could have been done better, I believe that I did a nice job for it to be my first time. During the whole process many things had to be changed. Planning for final task: Title design

Planning Blog Font: Title font for our group will be bolded in impact font while the other titles are heltivica font  Contrast: All the titles will be white with a back outline/ our movie titles will be a large focused font size that is clear and readable to the audience, while the other title credits will be medium sized, around the font size of 48. Spacing: The default spacing is the spacing that will be used to display all of our titles, and enhance  Working Title: Our title for our movie will be "Too Much" The first scene of the movie when the main character is being recognized inside of their room waking up to get ready for online school is when the Title will emerge across the screen from a diagonal point crossing the screen and moving side ways at a steady paste Slowly after that you will see the other titles come in and out of the screen distinctly and appear and disappear as the intro continues.
