Starting the Final Task

  Hi, it's me, Maiyah! Welcome to my final task journey. Before I start, let me introduce myself. My full name is Maiyah Dukes and I attend Fort Lauderdale High School. I am currently in 10th grade. I have been taking Cambridge classes since 9th grade and plan to take some in 11th. I am an outgoing person and have a strong work ethic. Now on to the final task, for this project I will be working in a group of  four. The reason I chose to work in a group is to relieve some stress that this project may cause and to help better my skills when working in a group. I also feel like working in a group larger than two can be challenging but yet very fun. The group consists of three friends of mine who also take the same class. Their names are Aniya Smith, Ryeyauni Bush, and Roy Castro. The reason I chose Aniya as one of my partners is because I've worked with her before. I know she has a good work ethic and when I forget that an assignment is due she is always there to remind me. The reason I chose Ryeyauni and Roy as my other partners is because I share a few classes with them. In those classes they both proves to be very creative and very openminded. I believe that all four of us as individuals are very smart and working together will be good.  A plus for us as a group is that we all know each other and this won't be our first time speaking. As a group I feel that we will come up with something very creative that is relatable being that we all relate very much. I'm excited to see what this final task brings us!

Production Blog: Beginning of editing

 Hi, it’s me, Maiyah. Well, we’ve finished filming and now we’re unto editing. The group decided to edit using Imovie. I have used it before and other members of the group have used it too.  I haven’t edited a part yet but i have giving my input on how it should be edited. One of my suggestions was to add non-diegetic music to a certain part of the film instead of using diegetic sound. I’ve suggested other things. The whole group had. I can’t quite remembers who’s doing the bulk of the editing but i believe it’s Ryeyauni. Although she’s doing most of it, we all will contribute. Roy will contribute by offering advice on which music we should use and by offering some music of his own. Aniya will contribute by offering suggestions and helping with the editing. I will contribute by doing the same thing. I will see to it that I edit one specific part because I have envisioned how i want it so i believe it’ll be best if i edit it myself. This was my first film project ever. Due to it being my first I was very excited. I ran into many problems that I never would have thought occurred. For example, uploading this video. As I type this I have no idea on how to upload it because everything I am trying is not working. Hopefully when you are reading this, it will be visible😂. On a serious note, I feel as if this project has taught me a lot when it comes to being both the director and the cast. It has also taught me a lot about editing and filming. Before I started this project I had little to no knowledge on filming my own commercial. Moving forward, I feel that the next filming project I do will be even better. Although this project could have been done better, I believe that I did a nice job for it to be my first time. During the whole process many things had to be changed. Planning for final task: Title design

Planning Blog Font: Title font for our group will be bolded in impact font while the other titles are heltivica font  Contrast: All the titles will be white with a back outline/ our movie titles will be a large focused font size that is clear and readable to the audience, while the other title credits will be medium sized, around the font size of 48. Spacing: The default spacing is the spacing that will be used to display all of our titles, and enhance  Working Title: Our title for our movie will be "Too Much" The first scene of the movie when the main character is being recognized inside of their room waking up to get ready for online school is when the Title will emerge across the screen from a diagonal point crossing the screen and moving side ways at a steady paste Slowly after that you will see the other titles come in and out of the screen distinctly and appear and disappear as the intro continues.
