Production blog: Filming

Filming. Filming is something my group and I haven't quite gotten around to. Reason for that is because the group as a whole has become very stressed with school. Although we haven't gotten around to it yet, we plan to soon. Personally, I want to get to it as soon as possible, I think. But, at the same time I am glad we are waiting. The reason that I am partially glad that we are waiting is because it gives us time to ensure that our movie makes sense to the audience. At least that's how I feel for now. My group still has a couple of things to do before filming such as who will play what role and how will we film. So far, we have the main character casted. Though we have the main character casted, that can change anytime. We also have a lot more casting to do. My group is planning to assign shooting days and editing days. We are still waiting to do that also. The reason we are waiting to do that is because we have to make sure we are free and able to abide by the schedule. I believe when we do start to film, we may encounter problems. I feel like this because in the past, I have. Although I think we will encounter problems, I believe when we do start to film, we will have fun. As stated in previous blogs, we all know each other so it most likely will be. Actually, it will. I am excited to see what filming brings us and I hope you are too. Peace out. For now.

Production Blog: Beginning of editing

 Hi, it’s me, Maiyah. Well, we’ve finished filming and now we’re unto editing. The group decided to edit using Imovie. I have used it before and other members of the group have used it too.  I haven’t edited a part yet but i have giving my input on how it should be edited. One of my suggestions was to add non-diegetic music to a certain part of the film instead of using diegetic sound. I’ve suggested other things. The whole group had. I can’t quite remembers who’s doing the bulk of the editing but i believe it’s Ryeyauni. Although she’s doing most of it, we all will contribute. Roy will contribute by offering advice on which music we should use and by offering some music of his own. Aniya will contribute by offering suggestions and helping with the editing. This was my first film project ever. Due to it being my first I was very excited. I ran into many problems that I never would have thought occurred. For example, uploading this video. As I type this I have no idea on how to upload it because everything I am trying is not working. Hopefully when you are reading this, it will be visible😂. On a serious note, I feel as if this project has taught me a lot when it comes to being both the director and the cast. It has also taught me a lot about editing and filming. Before I started this project I had little to no knowledge on filming my own commercial. Moving forward, I feel that the next filming project I do will be even better. Although this project could have been done better, I believe that I did a nice job for it to be my first time. During the whole process many things had to be changed. Planning for final task: Title design

Planning Blog Font: Title font for our group will be bolded in impact font while the other titles are heltivica font  Contrast: All the titles will be white with a back outline/ our movie titles will be a large focused font size that is clear and readable to the audience, while the other title credits will be medium sized, around the font size of 48. Spacing: The default spacing is the spacing that will be used to display all of our titles, and enhance  Working Title: Our title for our movie will be "Too Much" The first scene of the movie when the main character is being recognized inside of their room waking up to get ready for online school is when the Title will emerge across the screen from a diagonal point crossing the screen and moving side ways at a steady paste Slowly after that you will see the other titles come in and out of the screen distinctly and appear and disappear as the intro continues.
