Production blog: What are our next plans?


 Hi. It’s me again, Maiyah. I’m here with another update and so far much hasn’t change since the last blog. This weekend i was pretty busy so i wasn’t able to film with the group. This was also easter weekend and none of the group filmed Sunday. I’m actually not sure if they filmed at all being that i was pretty busy. You’re probably wondering how was i busy so let me explain, Friday was no school so i slept for majority of the day. That night I went to my friend house and stayed the night. Saturday morning we had to wake up quite early in order to attend her brothers track meet. After the track meet we then went to Crafty Crabs. We were out from 6am to 6pm. We slept the rest of the night and when Sunday came we laid down until i got picked up by my mother. I then came home and participated in an easter egg hunt and spent time with my family. With all that being said, I hope you understand why i didn’t film and why Im not aware of if the group did either. Although i’m not sure, I will make it my mission to catch up and see if they did or not. I do know that we plan to meet up this upcoming Sunday and film. After that day we should be set and start editing. I’m not aware of how much of the film is filmed yet so I can’t tell you guys how much is left to film. When i do figure it out i’ll make sure to let you guys know, maybe. I’m very excited to see the end product of film. I hope it comes out well because I am quite nervous about it. I know this is an important project so that’s the main reason I am nervous. Well, that’s all i have for now. I hope you guys enjoyed the blog and see you next time!

Production Blog: Beginning of editing

 Hi, it’s me, Maiyah. Well, we’ve finished filming and now we’re unto editing. The group decided to edit using Imovie. I have used it before and other members of the group have used it too.  I haven’t edited a part yet but i have giving my input on how it should be edited. One of my suggestions was to add non-diegetic music to a certain part of the film instead of using diegetic sound. I’ve suggested other things. The whole group had. I can’t quite remembers who’s doing the bulk of the editing but i believe it’s Ryeyauni. Although she’s doing most of it, we all will contribute. Roy will contribute by offering advice on which music we should use and by offering some music of his own. Aniya will contribute by offering suggestions and helping with the editing. I will contribute by doing the same thing. I will see to it that I edit one specific part because I have envisioned how i want it so i believe it’ll be best if i edit it myself. Vaseline commercial

This was my first film project ever. Due to it being my first I was very excited. I ran into many problems that I never would have thought occurred. For example, uploading this video. As I type this I have no idea on how to upload it because everything I am trying is not working. Hopefully when you are reading this, it will be visible😂. On a serious note, I feel as if this project has taught me a lot when it comes to being both the director and the cast. It has also taught me a lot about editing and filming. Before I started this project I had little to no knowledge on filming my own commercial. Moving forward, I feel that the next filming project I do will be even better. Although this project could have been done better, I believe that I did a nice job for it to be my first time. During the whole process many things had to be changed. Planning for final task: Title design

Planning Blog Font: Title font for our group will be bolded in impact font while the other titles are heltivica font  Contrast: All the titles will be white with a back outline/ our movie titles will be a large focused font size that is clear and readable to the audience, while the other title credits will be medium sized, around the font size of 48. Spacing: The default spacing is the spacing that will be used to display all of our titles, and enhance  Working Title: Our title for our movie will be "Too Much" The first scene of the movie when the main character is being recognized inside of their room waking up to get ready for online school is when the Title will emerge across the screen from a diagonal point crossing the screen and moving side ways at a steady paste Slowly after that you will see the other titles come in and out of the screen distinctly and appear and disappear as the intro continues.
